Hello.
My name is Philipp Ronnenberg.
I am an interaction designer.
This is my website with selected projects.
Feel free to contact me or to download my CV.
This interactive installation had the dimensions of 25m x 10m. Visitors can interact with the facade. By entering a real, physical space in front of the facade, users are diving into the virtual projected space.
The concept and parts of the vvvv programming were done by me.
In between out installation, concept and development (2010)
Visitors can interact with the object, drawing trails and make connections between each other. These inputs are being saved, looped, and affect the objects appearance. The dimensions are 5m x 3m.
3iarts.net installation, concept and development (2008/2009)
3iarts.net is a website where students from the partner universities of the HfK Bremen can upload their works. The idea of this website is, to connect international students with each other and to get an impression of how they work there. We built up an interactive lounge for the 3iarts.net network. In the centre of this lounge is a table, which is connected to a plasma screen. You can get connected to the network via the table. Just put a postcard, each partner university has got it's own postcard, on the table. A gallery will be displayed at the screen. This gallery consists of all uploaded artworks from HfK's partner universities. You can browse through the gallery by rotating the postcard on the table. While you move the postcard in the screen's direction the whole gallery will be scaled up. If you move the postcard in the opposite direction, the gallery will be scaled down. In this project my part was to develop the interaction concept, the interface design and some of the hardware setup as well as some programming.

EXPO Real interactive table, concept and development (2009)
We have built up a 3m x 1m multitouch table for menke Werbe GmbH which was exhibited on the Emsachse stand at the EXPO REAL trade fair munich.
We developed the hardware concept/setup, the interface and the software.
ReSynth interface controller, concept and development (2009/2010)
In audio software, parameters are usually controlled via mouse or MIDI-controllers. VST instruments (Virtual Studio Technology, steinberg.net) in any audio host software are often virtual rebuilds of their original hardware instruments. They have got the same controls as the originals, but virtual. They offer on-screen controls, such as buttons, sliders and rotary knobs. These virtual controls are very flexible and easy changable. But they lack the physical, haptic feeling and feedback of their real-world counterparts.
Manipulating these parameters with a mouse is not that efficient as there is no haptic feedback nor they are fast to control. The MIDI-controllers offer the haptical feedback, but they are physically limited and are arranged in a specific layout. Using a pre-defined mapping, or build your own mapping, for each virtual instrument is the proprietary way to control virtual instruments via MIDI-controllers. To improve the interaction between virtual instruments and physical controlling I developped a software for an interactive tabletop.

BiBA interface, concept (2010)
The BiBA multitouch interface is capable of visualising connections between logistic clusters and allegorise informations. I did the conceptual design.
Facebook visualizr, concept and development (2008)
This application can visualize facebook profiles. With this application, users can see their facebook friends and their interests. Once the user selected a friend of the displayed list, my application is reading out all informations, the selected friend has given to the facebook platform. Now these informations, which are hobbys, the music he listens to, the movies he likes, education etc. are displayed around the profile picture as photos in my application. The application is taking the given informations to the flickr.com search API and fetches the first flickr.com result to display these around the facebook users friend. This was an individual project where i did the programming and the design.
EFRE map application, concept (2011)
EFRE is an EU founded fond against regional diseconomies. The map is showing all EFRE raised projects geographical as well as their chronological periods and background information on all projects. I did the conceptual design and a design manual.
KLB-Bremen is a competence centre of logistics in Bremen. This multitouch concept is for their educational department. To explore the programs and to representate themselfs on fairs i developed this onscreen design manual.
